Piper's Stores High Class Grocery and delicatessen 1962 (My Dad's shop!) it was Piper's Stores from 1952 till 1964. Before 52 it was "Rumens" also a grocery.

Forge cottage as it was...and is. Best guess is 1901 since it has ER (Edward Rex) on the front with bunting - Edward VII became King in 1901.

Sissinghurst Windmill in Mill Lane around 1920. Thanks to Peter Mellor. Is anyone able to identify the man in the pic? if so please email advice@petermellor.co.uk The Mill was owned by the Crampton Family in Mill House, which changed its name to Mill Farm in 1930
